1. “You Must See Something”
When I’m trudging with my iron cane
on lightning roads through drum fire clouds,
I see you buried in your shroud,
blanketing a wrathful cloud.
I wonder why your fiery eyes
don’t emit life’s nullity,
but pierce into diffuse terrain—
unstricken lay your eternal domain.
on lightning roads through drum fire clouds,
I see you buried in your shroud,
blanketing a wrathful cloud.
I wonder why your fiery eyes
don’t emit life’s nullity,
but pierce into diffuse terrain—
unstricken lay your eternal domain.
Unmarked by time—shattering skies,
the voice of seven million cries,
drowned out by one collective sigh,
drowned out by life’s own demise.
And yet you’re there within the blare
of living death, of nullity,
as resolute as life can be—
just what is it that you see?
You must see something—why can’t I?
You must see something with your eyes,
You must see something—why can’t I?
You must see something…
the voice of seven million cries,
drowned out by one collective sigh,
drowned out by life’s own demise.
And yet you’re there within the blare
of living death, of nullity,
as resolute as life can be—
just what is it that you see?
You must see something—why can’t I?
You must see something with your eyes,
You must see something—why can’t I?
You must see something…
2. “The Sky”
Darkening hues reveal themselves
as day fades into night;
a thousand lonely stars spread out,
desolate like eyes.
And mine behold the emptiness
that separates the stars,
not unlike the empty moments
we sometimes disregard.
This vast and endless sky of time
seems always there and well confined,
yet always it seems ill defined,
not unlike the skies that line our minds.
Everything in motion, or within inertia’s grip?
The oceans that hold us will someday let us slip
into unknown shores of time,
beyond our scientific finds,
and maybe then we’ll understand
the skies and oceans that line our minds.
Darkening hues reveal themselves
as day fades into night;
a thousand lonely stars spread out,
desolate like eyes.
And mine behold the emptiness
that separates the stars,
not unlike the empty moments
we sometimes disregard.
This vast and endless sky of time
seems always there and well confined,
yet always it seems ill defined,
not unlike the skies that line our minds.
Everything in motion, or within inertia’s grip?
The oceans that hold us will someday let us slip
into unknown shores of time,
beyond our scientific finds,
and maybe then we’ll understand
the skies and oceans that line our minds.
In the gaps between stars and thoughts, something understands.
3.Everywhere was Gone (a disjointed version from incomplete memories for now)
Madness swish-swirl-scathed the air
was piss drenched raining everywhere was
Gone
Broadway looked like liquid cement,
It's patterns shifting with it's creatures' dents, it was
Bent
Homeless , Hustlers, Vultures, Fiends
All were buying and selling dreams
And so I slipped right out
Everywhere was gone, no course , no route,
And Though the rain-mad zone provides no thrills,
It sharpened my razor honed survival skills.
Verse 2????
